Pobl Group: Unifying Business
With A Digital Vision

The Challenge

Pobl Group is Wales’ largest Housing and Social Care Provider, with over 16,000 homes under management. It was created out of a merger of seven different operating businesses and Pobl Group needed a strong platform for future growth which could achieve buy-in from across the business. Visceral Business was asked to create a central unifying digital and data vision for Pobl Group that would deliver a streamlined technical strategy, consolidate digital operations and achieve cost-savings across all businesses.

What We Did

We developed a comprehensive digital vision and strategy for Pobl Group that could support its core values and future objectives. This was done in collaboration with senior executives after a discovery process and workshops with change-makers across the Group. Our recommendations for Pobl Group included a detailed technology framework after assessing the current technology capabilities of each business, as well as the design of procurement guidelines and new management KPI’s.

The Result

Pobl was quickly able to make cost savings on its technology and establish agreement across each of the seven businesses for a rolling programme of digital development. We were able to agree priorities and develop management reporting methods so that the organisation could also make much more of its data.

Now, Pobl Group has a streamlined digital infrastructure and CRM system. It can track progress Group-wide and, with that sightline, it can realise its ambitions against new targets that it
is able to promote with confidence.
